Re: Piston 93.5 Wossner
Hello Pablo,
seems to be quiet expensive. They made the same piston with 10,5:1 for me, about 9 years ago. Therefore the do have allready all drawings for that piston.

Mambu, you write it: 9 Years ago. It's "a bit" more expensive now...

Hi.
Interesting,
Did they give you the plan?
It was a copy of bretille ?
How much you paid?

Re: Piston 93.5 Wossner
Hi Pablo,
Hans is right, I paid as well 350,- € in 2013, the time goes by...
But the price was only for one piston and the drawing already exists. Therefore my suggestion regarding the price. I have a drawing of that piston here. If you have a need of it, I can send it to you.
The Piston hast pockets for 48/40 valves and has a comression ratio of about 10,5:1 with the original combustion chamber.
I don't understand "a copy of bretille", please explain further.

Re: Piston 93.5 Wossner
Amazing,
Now they only work for 4 pieces minimum ... with the French anyway!
I'm curious to compare yes, I want the plan....
do you remember the weight?
your valves are huge! from what source?
Bretille is the mark of the cast piston which was originally fitted in the kit, two preparers offered this kit, JPX and Rayer.... there are two left for the latter.
I sent the old bretille piston to Wossner who made me a copy....
thanking you!

Re: Piston 93.5 Wossner
surprisingly that is not what they told me....
unless I misunderstood....
if this is the case and there are people interested in another dimension, we can group....

Re: Piston 93.5 Wossner
@pablo
The valves that Mambu mentioned were, in case Mambu wrote perhaps regarding the kit4 cylinderheads, supplied with ported cylinderhead kits that Theo and i developed ,,some years ago" for forum members (sr500.de/xt500.org).
Those were supplied with 48/39mm valves and Titanium top equipped valve springs.
Regarding valve size, depending on what camshaft profile you use you can go up to almost 50mm's without encountering outrageous technical issues.
KEDO offers intake valves up to the size of 49mm, from 48mm on it's necessary to enlarge the valve pockets in the piston on the milling machine and depending on camshaft profile the overlap lift (valve lift and valve to valve distance).
Kind greetings Christian

Re: Piston 93.5 Wossner
...it is as Christian wrote, 48/39 I misremembered again ...
I send you the drawing via PN.
The piston has a weight of 456 g including pin and clips.
Now I have a question regarding those JPX cylinders.
I have a cylinder which must be a JPX regarding the outer shape. It is no Rayer and no DreiBuchstabenMann - or Pami - Cylinder. But up to now I only found information regarding JPX cylinders with a cast iron sleeve, mine is completely aluminium and Nikasil-coated. Have you ever heard that JPX also made this type of cylinders?

Re: Piston 93.5 Wossner
no idea if jpx did nikasil but i don't think so.
DreiBuchstabenMann makes nikasil....
the weight of your piston is really interesting.
What engine is it in? still works?
thank you

Re: Piston 93.5 Wossner
Thanks, ...but it is surely no DreiBuchstabenMann cylinder.
If you get any information of that topic in France, please let me know. It's hard for me to search on french sites, because my french is absolutely bad!
Motor still runs well for about eight years an 35000 km...

Den Ausschuss von jpx hat der 3BM als seine Zylinder verkauft.

Re: Piston 93.5 Wossner
you mean that the DreiBuchstabenMann makes the cylinders with the plans of the jpx?
