rear shocks

hello as anyone tried to rebuild rear shocks on their xt/tt 500 this is my next job to take apart if i can


Hallo, als irgendjemand versucht hat, hintere Schocks auf ihr xt/tt 500 dies wiederaufzubauen, ist meine nächste Aufgabe, auseinander zu nehmen, wenn ich kann

hi Tom,
yes no Problem, you can even get the plastic sleeve and the sticker from XT Tom,
here in the shop, see left side of this page.
both types, 1976 and 77 up sticker.
But in case when the damper is gone, i mean leaking, you cannot repair, what i know.
here some results of my projects.

hello Dieter1969 thanks ,but i will try to repair internal of shocks / take apart, if yamaha put it together i don't see why it can't be taken apart, nothing is imposable, if i cannot do it i will send a my mate, who rebuild's shock's all the time ,he's a shock engineer , he just done some for a ferrari that they said cannot be re-built

I think there are a lot of us, who have couple of wrecked dampers waiting in the basement.
