Hi Halfmad,

the bike is looking really great. Besides a lot of interesting features I would like to know which muffler is build on it? I've never seen one like this on a XT 500 here.
Looking to the other thread of you, let me say it was worth to dig out some money to purchase this bike  .

Hi Bert

yes this bike is top class

the exhaust is a viper

Dave newitt in the UK had them made

not to sure if he still has them

but it sounds awsome

Seems as if it's not "street-legal", isn't it  :?:

Regards,

Matt

In Germany you would be executed, right beside your bike, if you have not the required papers for such an exhaust

UK must be better, don't you have any "goods vehicle test" or anything like that over there :gruebel: :?:

In the Uk they do, Halfmad however lives in Ireland and there is no NCT (or TÜV as you call it) here for bikes. At all.

Couldn't believe it myself at first, but only recently I put Irish plates on a UK reg XT500 (that I bought from Halfmad) and I drove to the test centre/registration office without working indicators or speedometer, no problemo. - Speaking of indicators, there isn't any on Pauls Supermoto either it seems... :D

Anyway, happy days as you can do pretty much whatever you like. While there maybe some limits as to what you can do to your bike I think it will have to be pretty bad before they pull you over.

Having said that my own bike is in pretty much original condition and once I'm done with the electrics she would probably pass a TÜV without a problem.

Pauls Supermoto looks awesome, doesn't she?

Hi Carsten

Yes it's good to be Irish

we can drive almost any shape of a motorbike on the road here

I hope to be in waterford on friday with the bike to register it

I will give you a ring this evening

Once Europe will have standardised laws and standards, I vote for the Irish vehicle technical standards. ;D

I think in time Ireland will have NCT/MOT/TUV test

But i hope not as we can drive anything on two wheels on the road :dance
